Going to an international school at the age of seven was a drastic change for me. I am from England, and growing up, I have only ever encountered friends of the same race. In Al Yasmina Academy, this instantly changed.

There were all types of amazing people from all sorts of exotic places, differing between all the continents. Due to this, I have been introduced to a myriad of exciting cultures that I didn’t even know existed. This helped me to learn more about the world around me, broadening my horizons.

In my opinion, an international school is far more exciting, as you get to meet varities of new, unique people, all with their own stories to tell. Being surrounded by people from around the world has also allowed me to become more accepting of varied lifestyles and traditions. Spending half my life in an international school has connected me with different cultures and people, to the point where I do not judge or discriminate others for being unsimilar to me.

Overall, attending an international school like Al Yasmina Academy is an exciting experience. Not only do you learn about interesting cultures, you get to hear wonderful stories of foreign countries, traditions, games, movies, foods and much more. Being at Al Yasmina has opened my eyes to the mysterious world that we all thrive in, and it is an amazing experience.

I feel as if I’ve discovered a lot at this academy, and I’m sure many other students will say the same. Meeting new people, people so rare and intriguing, has probably been my favourite part of being at this school.
