There are a lot of educational experiences and situations through which I taught students and I learned from them in the ten years I spent in Yasmina Academy. I learn and teach, we are who we are, we teach and enjoy the situations in which we left an influence on our students in a positive way and enable them to acquire life time skills very useful for them to use throughout their lives…carry  them around and implement them in different places and stick in their memories.
One of these situations that stuck in my memory was in 2017 with the Year 3 Native students, when the school was encouraging and guiding students to how to benefit from the materials and simple things that some people throw in the garbage can, in other words, recycling, we had already studied about the robot and the unit encourages Critical thinking and how to develop and build a generation who is able to think creatively. So I thought to myself how to benefit from the school’s approach towards recycling in my class. After all, we are in one school whether we are Arabs or expats, so I asked them to bring stuff, plastic cans and boxes that can be recycled and benefit from it in the making of the robot which eventually will be the first robot student in Yasmina academy, which exactly what happened: we all collected the materials, started arranging and assembly them to make the first robot student in Yasmina academy. I will leave you with photos to speak about what the students have done under my supervision.
